AUTOMOTIVE AND LIGHT TRUCK FILTERS
Filter maintenance is the foundation of maintaining a vehicle’s fuel economy and overall health. WIX automotive and light truck filters consistently offer the best protection and coverage in the industry for both domestic and foreign nameplate vehicles.
In fact, WIX oil filters increase engine life, because their technologically advanced construction captures 45 percent more dirt and lasts 30 percent longer than the leading brand. And, at 9 pleats of media per inch, WIX air filters last longer and capture more engine killing contaminants.
A high-quality fuel filter is more important than ever for protecting today’s advanced fuel injection systems, allowing an engine to run trouble free and at peak mile-per-gallon performance. And, our cabin air filters with BioShield® 75 are also the industry’s most technologically advanced.

Air Filters
Air filters are too often overlooked.
Considering as much as 10,000 gallons of air must pass through the air filter for every gallon of fuel the engine consumes, WIX air filters play a vital part in preventing foreign particles like soot, carbon and abrasives from entering the fuel mix and damaging your engine. Even the smallest dust particles can damage cylinder walls, pistons and piston rings and cause premature engine wear.
WIX air filter media features nine pleats per inch, resulting in a longer life and the ability to capture more engine-killing contaminants.
There are two types of air filters – panel and radial.
Panel air filters provide air with a linear path and low air restriction. WIX panel air filters have special pocket pleats in the media, held together with specially formulated adhesive. The filter media is framed by a urethane soft sealing gasket and is supported (when applicable) by a mesh screen, which are both molded in place with the filter element.
WIX radial air filters feature a mesh screen on the inside and outside walls for element strength and media protection from backfire. Each filter is held together with heat-resistant plastisol with specially designed seals on the top and bottom walls and an adhesive seal that joins the media ends.

Cabin Air Filters
Did you know Americans spend more than 6.9 billion hours in traffic each year? That's a lot of time spent breathing the air coming through your vehicles HVAC system. Today, more than 90 percent of all domestic and foreign nameplate vehicles sold in the U.S. are equipped with a cabin air filter. Not sure where your cabin air filter is located or if your vehicle even has one? Just check your owner's manual.
Luckily, WIX® cabin air filters fight and capture airborne contaminants, while also preventing leaves, dirt, bugs and other debris from negatively impacting the operation of the HVAC systems heater, air conditioner and defroster. WIX premium cabin air filters are now exclusive enhanced with a Microban® antimicrobial technology, which inhibits the growth of microbes by injecting and killing the cells. Together, they not only help keep negative elements from entering a vehicles interior, but they also keep cabin air fresh against damaging bacteria, mold and mildew. Our new high-premium XP cabin air filters are built with premium Pur-Air™technology that filters out nearly 100% of allergens like pollen and fine dust. They also absorb odors, gases and pollutants and protects against odor-causing bacteria and mold growth on the filter.
And always remember your cabin air filter should be checked every year and replaced every two years. The owner's manual states you should replace your cabin air filter every 15,000 to 25,000 miles, depending upon how you drive. Check yours today.

Fuel Filters
A high-quality WIX fuel filter is essential for protecting advanced fuel injection systems from contaminants that may be in the fuel, allowing an engine to run trouble free and at peak mile-per-gallon performance.
All of the fuel that enters the engine must first pass through the fuel filter. Which means the high efficiency and unmatched fuel cleansing performance provided by WIX fuel filters is vital for long and trouble-free fuel system and engine life.
Originating from dirty and rusty service station tanks or from corrosion in fuel system components as a vehicle ages, dirt, rust, scale and water are the major impurities present in fuel. These contaminants can plug injectors and carburetors, causing engine malfunction and deterioration.
WIX spin-on and cartridge-type fuel filters are engineered and built for long life and the possibility of extended service intervals. And, WIX fuel filters are simple to replace – our spin-on filters even feature built-in gaskets.
In recent years many foreign nameplate automobile manufacturers have added new brackets to the packaging of their replacement fuel filters. These brackets make installing the fuel filter a less time intensive process for technicians, especially in northern environments where the bracket mounts have a tendency to rust due to adverse weather and road conditions. The bracketed fuel filter addition to WIX’s product portfolio adds to the depth and breadth of our foreign nameplate product coverage.
